You wouldn’t knowingly bathe in toxins every morning or set out to harm your lungs and sinuses, irritate your allergies and skin, or willingly increase your risk of cancer. But the fact is, chlorine and its by-products in your shower water are toxins which can damage your health.

Research indicates an increased risk for bladder and rectal cancer from drinking chlorinated water. And even though you’re not drinking water in the shower, you can absorb many times more chlorine in a shower than you do by drinking the same water! Tests show that your body can absorb more chlorine as a result of a 10-minute shower than if you drank eight glasses of the same water.

How can that be?

Apparently the French do not like shower doors or shower curtains.

This has always baffled me. In my experience, the French prefer a bathtub. This bathtub always has a detachable shower head, so you can rinse yourself. While studying in Lyon during college, I lived with a French family. Their bathroom only had a bathtub and shower head (which was not attached to the wall, but would sit on the side of the tub). I never quite mastered the art of bathing there. You couldn’t put the showerhead down while the water was running, because it would spray everywhere. So finally I learned to run some water for the bath. Get wet. Turn off water. Soap up. Turn on water and rinse off. Washing the hair was practically impossible because you could only use one hand. Read on…

You’re tired, hungry, dirty and irritable. You feel so down and want to do something real good to lift up your mood. Well the best thing you can do now is have a enjoyable shower. Here are some ways you can have a relaxing shower

1. Get incense, possibly some candles and light them around the shelves in your bathroom.

2. Grab a soda pop, or other drink. If it is in a can, open the lid only slightly so the soda pop trickles out. Avoid a glass or cup, because shower water could get in, but if your shower has a small rack to put it on, you’ll be fine.

Shower filters are the equipments used to cleanse the water for nice and soaking shower. They endow with enormous safety against the harsh and harmful chemicals along with the rudiments. These harmful chemicals pour in through the plumbing lines in a structure. Taking a shower seems undisruptive in majority cases. You can see just water pouring in from the shower head, but, in fact, that water is contaminated with chlorine that is harmful to skin, lung and hair. Always, keep in mind that all municipal water has been already treated with chlorine and has been subjected to processes that supposedly make it safe.

A1 Shower filters not only eliminate chlorine, but they also remove dirt and bad smell. In various hard water areas, it has been noticed that small pieces of sand, or rock, dissolve in water through the water lines. That’s why anyone who has installed water filter faucets or traps on their faucets are bound to clean out the miniscule particles every once in a week. If not, then this will ultimately lead to clogging of the filters. A1 Shower filter cartridges normally work for 6 to 9 months giving pure bathing water.

Everybody wants pure and clean water to drink nowadays… continue reading.

Yesterday was a typical day. All the equipment was working fine.

And then later in the day, it died. I don’t know why.

I had good samples, I thought I might actually get some useful data. So I fought with it for a while, but I couldn’t figure out what was wrong.

Then I sent an email to the repair person, shut everything down, and went home. Today I will try again to see if it is really broken.

I hate how these things can spontaneously blow up in your face, and this could happen at any time, but it always happens at the worst time.

So anyway I came home last night and I was pretty annoyed, but I sat there and said to myself,

“This is stupid. You should be grateful because things could be a lot worse.”

So I sat there and made a list of how it could be worse.

I said to myself,

At least I’m still getting paid (for now). So I can pay my rent.

At least I’m inside, and warm, and have a cup of tea.

At least I can watch tv for an hour before I go to bed.

At least I have a nice comfy bed, and it’s quiet here.

At least my car is still running, even though it’s old and that reminds me, I really need to get the oil changed.

At least I’m not in jail.

At least I’m not pregnant.

And so on…
