… My friend Richard started a company called Izola, which prints whimsical patterns, photographs of international destinations, and limited edition artwork onto shower curtains.
The curtains have been on my radar for some time now, but I wasn’t convinced of their coolness until he sent me a curtain printed with artwork by Faile, an international artist collective known for their contemporary stencil graffiti.
According to my pal, “Faile has recently in the past six months become an unusually hot commodity in the art world, with works selling at Sotheby’s starting at $48K and hanging in the same galleries as Basquiat and Warhol. The last Faile show sold out entirely, selling well over $1 million in works.”

Indianapolis Star:
Remember the basics of your shower door and glass:
The thickness of shower-door glass varies from 3/16 inch to 3/8 inch. Three-sixteenths is the most common thickness.
Shower-door glass may be tempered, which when broken will shatter immediately into many tiny, but safe pieces; or safety glass, which is held together by a center layer of plastic.
Aluminum door frames are more common and cheaper than brass ones.
Whatever type of door you choose, you must recaulk the inside frame where it meets the shower walls once a year.

New York Times:
We asked three adults who have used a deodorant-antiperspirant combination every day since puberty to see how long they could go au naturel. Only one was still abstaining after 12 days.
Jared Reiner (far right), a 25-year-old basketball player in Murcia, Spain.
Regular routine: Degree roll-on twice a day after showering.
Days without the product: 1 ½.
“Most guys on my team don’t wear deodorant — it’s not like in America — but I felt really uncomfortable. I did a better job in the shower than normally because I was really worried about smelling bad. I actually think I smelled O.K. But there was more moisture there than I wanted, so I kept feeling like I should go take another shower. At one point I smelled something bad on the court and I put my nose down to smell myself. A teammate saw me doing it and was like, ‘Don’t worry, it’s not you.’” More.

The cold winter months are here, the holidays are right around the corner and as always, you have a long list of presents to buy. Now, one new product lets you give the gift of toasty towels that will have everyone thinking warmly of you all year long.
There’s nothing like Towel Spa(TM) to quickly warm towels, bathrobes and more, so anyone can step out of the shower into cozy warmth everyday. This portable, compact towel warmer thoroughly heats two towels or one large bath sheet in just minutes and keeps them warmed while you bathe. Towel Spa also warms blankets to make TV-watching time comfy, hats and mittens for those chilly walks with the dog, and even socks for toasty toes, so anyone can wrap themselves in warmth any time of the day.
“According to our research, Towel Spa is the most efficient and effective towel warmer on the market,” said Doug Whitner, said Doug Whitner, president of Towel Spa development company Innovation Direct. “We tested every other product out there — from towel bars that did not heat the whole towel evenly to a $5,000 model that has to be electrically installed — and TowelSpa outperformed them all.” Read more.

The Daily News:
As the leaves change and the weather turns chillier, another annual event takes place we cannot avoid the fall cold. For many who seem to be susceptible to such viruses, it’s as much a part of the changing of seasons as turning on the heat and bringing out your winter clothes.
This year’s cold was a particularly nasty one for me. It’s going on two weeks and my sniffles are still in full force. Since I don’t take any cold medicine, I’m always on the lookout for ways to feel better and relieve some of the symptoms in a natural and safe way. I’ve found a number of cosmetic and bath products to make the whole process a bit more comfortable.
When you’re all stuffed up, a nice way to warm up and de-stuff is by taking a hot bath or shower. Mixing some additives into your bath or shower can help clear your sinuses (briefly) and give you some relief.
For the tub, you can add ten or 15 drops of eucalyptus essential oil to warm water. The eucalyptus and steam helps open the sinuses and refresh your stuffed head. Tea tree oil also has the same effect, but I find the scent of eucalyptus oil is more soothing when you’re sick.

Reno Gazette Journal:
It starts around November. Winds pick up, temperatures creep down. Furnaces kick on making the inside of our homes crackle with dry air.
That’s when the itching begins. Some people live with dry, scratchy skin all winter, until spring when the furnace clicks off. For others, it’s a year-round penance of living in a desert.
“Dry skin is worse in winter. Here, (there’s) no humidity,” said Dr. Julia Ai of Bella Dermatology in Sparks. “It’s worse in winter here because homes have dry heat.”
Itching and dryness are exacerbated by daily bathing or showering and sun damage — a skin worry that many people forget about during the winter…

World Village:
It is so much fun to have a bathroom specifically designed for your children. Using bright and colorful children’s shower curtain in their bathroom will make bath time more enjoyable and fun. Children enjoy bright and vivid patterns that stimulate and excite them. Often you can find children’s shower curtain that will match a complete bathroom set such as rug, toilet seat cover, soap dish and even toothbrush holder.
It is important to not get carried away with your child’s bathroom. Select children’s shower curtains that will compliment the colors that are already in the bathroom. Instead of remodeling the bathroom completely, use the matching accessory sets that traditionally come with children’s shower curtain as part of a set…
