Bathrooms are moving from functional to fancy, from plain to palatial.
If you let them.“They are something that everybody wants,” says Mark Morrison, owner of Morrison Kitchen & Bath in Baldwin. “But people get disenchanted, and a lot of times it’s like that bar in the basement that now has laundry sitting on it.”
The big difference, obviously, is a practicality that gives bathrooms a touch of everyday reality. But some bathroom projects cost more than $50,000, which can include 12-head showers, radiant floors that provide a warmth to bare feet and cabinetry that is custom designed to fit all the structural needs of the room.
