We all have habits that, while not completely crazy, are just weird enough to make us wonder if we’re the only person who does them. Of course, we’re not. There are millions of people scattered across the planet who like to eat the orange peel, or touch the visor with one finger while they’re running a yellow light, or wipe their asses sideways, or whatever.

I used to kid myself that I alone knew the unique refreshment of drinking a cold beer while taking a hot shower. My former girlfriend found it eccentric, which only added to the sense of secret pleasure. But when a confession to a coworker revealed that he too was down with the shower brew—his father had turned him on to it—I wasn’t disappointed. And I’ve since found many more folks [Ed: Cheers!] who enjoy spraying themselves down while raising up a cold can (bottles suffice if that’s all you have, but they are not recommended). Which is great. Because drinking beer in the shower is awesome.
