Actress Cate Blanchett is doing her bit for the environment by economising on water use and not showering for more than four minutes.

Blanchett, who has starred in the sequel ‘Elizabeth: The Golden Age’, confessed that she sometimes goes to extremes to be eco-friendly.

Dailysnack.com reports her saying: ‘I really love a refreshing shower. But I’m careful about how much water I use so I’ve just had a shower timer fitted which means I don’t have more than four-minute showers.
